"Jesse" |
Our Beloved Jesse....who came to us when Action first started. Jesse was surrogate mom to many kittens and as a result lived her days out at the shelter. She brought many smiles and much love to all of our volunteers, and to countless kittens over the years. The shelter simply is not the same without her. God Speed Little One. |
"Tyson" |
Our Beloved
Tyson a loveable St.Bernard, Rottie cross that spent the first 7 years of his life chained up in a back yard, with no attention at all. He weighed 183 pounds at his arrival to Action and could barely walk due to the lack of muscle mass from being chained up for so long. Tyson was the greeter at the shelter, and no matter how much pain he found his legs to be in, always struggled to say hello. He was sent off to the rainbow bridge last fall when he no longer could trust his legs to carry him. He was sent with one of his trusty friends a favorite stuffy toy. God speed Tyson...until we meet again at the rainbow bridge...you are missed every single day.

Our Beloved...
Hedgie Hedgie came to live with us after a rough start in the world. He had been mauled by another animal and had lost both of his ears. Nikki attended the surgery and nursed him back to health. He lived a happy life and was loved deeply by everyone at the shelter. God Speed little one. |

Our beloved...
Smirnoff It is with great sadness that we say good-bye to our beloved Smirnie. She was loved and adored by so many. Smirnie succumbed to complications from oral cancer at the age of 16. She always kept our computer monitor 'warm' and working at our desk will never be the same. She had a loving family in Iowa that sponsored her through her illness. She had an ability to touch hearts as far away as another country, and warmed the laps of many visitors. She will be greatly missed by all the residents and volunteers of the shelter. God Speed our little fur-angel.

Our Beloved...
Luna Luna was wandering on the freeway and was almost killed by passing motorists. A woman (Rita) on her way home from work saw her, stopped amidst the traffic and picked her up. She was very frail and assumed to be deaf as she seemed oblivious of the rush our traffic speeding passed her. Rita tried frantically to find someone to help her with this little one. Action was there for both of them.. Luna was rushed to the see Dr. Mangat at Killarney Animal Hospital. After examination we were told she was very old, deaf, almost blind and in extremely bad condition. Until her last day her love was unconditional and unsurpassable. Luna was an inspiration to all who had the privilege of meeting her. She has left us but will never be forgotten. Till we meet again Luna..... |
