Kitty Kompany Professional Pet Sitting Services

Well, unlike the story to the left, I am certainly not a profit, but I am definitely someone who prefers the company of an animal to any other.  I worked for 24 years in the corporate world, and if I do say so myself have excellent customer service skills.  I tend to think of myself, now as a professional tummy rubber, and Nanny to all types of pets.  Many years ago I was 'owned' by a diabetic cat named Katie.  She lived with her diabetes for 5 years, and I was by her side for every shot and every blood test along the way.  I knew then that my love for animals was unconditional.  She taught me so much.  Eventually we decided to go on vacation, "gasp", leave the fur kids at home, how could we even ponder such an idea?  It was terribly difficult to find someone to care for Katie and her special needs.  As a result after a particularly difficult long weekend in May during my corporate days, I dropped the bomb at the office, I went on a medical leave, applied to the Douglas College Self Employment Program and never looked back.  Oh I considered it...due to the monetary drop I would be taking, but petting a cat, talking to a bird or walking a dog seemed like a much better way to spend my life, than trying to live up to someone's over the moon expectations.  This journey has had it's ups and downs, but during this time, not a day goes by, (no matter how bad the traffic), that I don't get a big smile on my face when I walk in the door to a pet sit, to see a happy face waiting there for me.  It is so rewarding, in so many ways.  There isn't much that can come close to it.  Except perhaps my other passion for doing rescue work, and working with animals in that capacity.  Fortunately I have a very understanding fiance who loves all animals and can lend a hand whenever needed.  I don't know where I would be without him....his love and encouragement....probably still trudging through the corporate world with a constant migraine.  I'm proud to be a pet sitter....many people think I just sit around waiting for the phone to ring, but that certainly isn't the case.  we are a very busy company, and we have many regular clients that we enjoy visiting, and with every new client, comes a new friend.  I consider myself to be very blessed to work with animals...the innocents of this world.
